9-Day Mara River Migration Crossing: July & August


Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival in Arusha, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your accommodation. Take some time to relax and prepare for your exciting safari adventure.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will head to Tarangire National Park. Known for its large elephant herds, the park offers a breathtaking landscape dotted with baobab trees. Enjoy game drives and spot various wildlife species such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. In the evening, return to your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 3-4: Central Serengeti

Embark on a scenic drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Spend the next two days exploring the wildlife-rich plains of the Central Serengeti. Witness the incredible wildebeest migration, as thousands of animals cross the Mara River in search of greener pastures. Day 5-6: Northern Serengeti

Continue your journey to the Northern Serengeti, where you will witness the dramatic Mara River crossings during the Great Migration. Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater floor, which is home to an abundant population of wildlife, including lions, rhinos, elephants, and various bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this unique and picturesque setting. Later, ascend back to the crater rim for overnight stay at a lodge.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which surrounds the Ngorongoro Crater. Visit the Olduvai Gorge, a significant paleoanthropological site where fossils of early human ancestors were discovered. Learn about human evolution and the rich history of the area. In the afternoon, return to your lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Arusha. Depending on your departure time, you may have the opportunity to explore the local markets and purchase some souvenirs. Our representative will then escort you to the airport for your onward journey.
