Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to rest and relax after your journey, and if time permits, explore the nearby attractions in Entebbe, such as the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or the beautiful Botanical Gardens.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, we will drive northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, enjoy the scenic beauty of the Ugandan countryside. Upon arrival, check-in to your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife. End the day with a boat cruise along the Nile River to witness the magnificent Murchison Falls.
Day 3: Kibale National Park
Today, we will head to Kibale National Park, known for its population of chimpanzees. After breakfast, drive through the lush landscapes and tea plantations to reach Kibale. In the afternoon, go for a guided chimpanzee trekking experience, where you can observe these incredible primates in their natural habitat.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a game drive in the park, which is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
Day 5: Bwindi National Park
Today, we will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famous for its mountain gorilla population. After breakfast, drive through the picturesque landscapes to reach Bwindi. Relax in the afternoon and prepare for the thrilling gorilla trekking experience the next day.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking
The highlight of your trip awaits as you embark on a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi National Park. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the jungle. Trek through the dense forest, guided by experienced trackers, until you encounter a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures up close before returning to your lodge.
Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, depart for Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most scenic lakes in Uganda. Enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and take part in optional activities such as canoeing or hiking to the nearby hills. Explore the islands on the lake and immerse yourself in the beauty of this natural wonder.
Day 8: Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi
Take this day to relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere of Lake Bunyonyi. You can go for a swim in the lake, take a leisurely boat ride, or simply unwind and soak in the breathtaking views. This is the perfect opportunity to reflect on your incredible journey through Uganda.
Day 9: Departure from Entebbe
After breakfast, bid farewell to Lake Bunyonyi and drive back to Entebbe. You will be dropped off at Entebbe Airport for your departure flight, carrying unforgettable memories of your exceptional and experiential Uganda gorilla trek.
