This is a 9-Day Bale Mountains Trekking Tour covering Addis Ababa , Bale Mountains NP, Langano at a cost of $1,100 to $1,300. Below is the best Itinerary that helps you explore these destinations on a safari starting from Addis Ababa.
Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Upon arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the city.
Day 2: Addis Ababa – Bale Mountains NP
After breakfast, we will drive to Bale Mountains National Park. Along the way, we will pass through the stunning scenery of the Ethiopian highlands and stop at various viewpoints to take in the scenery. We will arrive at the park in the afternoon and check into our accommodation.
Day 3: Bale Mountains NP – Sodota
After breakfast, we will begin our trek to Sodota, which will take us through the Harenna Forest. We will have the opportunity to spot various wildlife along the way, including the endemic Bale monkey and Menelik’s bushbuck. We will camp overnight in Sodota.
Day 4: Sodota – Keyrensa
Today’s trek will take us from Sodota to Keyrensa. We will hike through the lush forest and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We will camp overnight in Keyrensa.
Day 5: Keyrensa – Garba Guracha
After breakfast, we will continue our trek to Garba Guracha. We will pass through the Sanetti Plateau, which is home to the endangered Ethiopian wolf. We will camp overnight in Garba Guracha.
Day 6: Garba Guracha – Mount Batu
Today’s trek will take us from Garba Guracha to Mount Batu. We will hike through the beautiful landscape and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We will camp overnight near Mount Batu.
Day 7: Mount Batu – Wasama
After breakfast, we will continue our trek to Wasama. We will hike through the stunning scenery of the Bale Mountains and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. We will camp overnight in Wasama.
Day 8: Wasama – Langano
After breakfast, we will drive to Langano, a beautiful lake in the Ethiopian highlands. We will have the opportunity to swim in the lake or relax on the beach. We will stay overnight in a hotel near the lake.
Day 9: Langano – Addis Ababa
After breakfast, we will drive back to Addis Ababa. Depending on your departure time, we may have the opportunity to visit some of the city’s famous landmarks, such as the National Museum or the Holy Trinity Cathedral. You will then be transferred to Bole International Airport for your departure flight.
