Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro Airport
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Take some time to relax and rest after your journey, and if time permits, explore the local area and immerse yourself in the vibrant Tanzanian culture.
Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large population of elephants and beautiful baobab trees. Spend the day exploring the park, spotting wildlife such as lions, zebras, giraffes, and various bird species. In the afternoon, we will head to our budget campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park
Today, we will drive towards the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. On the way, we will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you can catch glimpses of wildlife. Once we reach the Serengeti, embark on an unforgettable game drive, witnessing the vast plains and incredible diversity of animals. As the day comes to an end, we will settle in our budget campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full Day Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day game drive in the Serengeti, exploring different regions of the park and seeking out the "Big Five" - lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinoceros. The Serengeti is also known for the annual wildebeest migration, a spectacle that should not be missed if it coincides with your visit. Return to the campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater, which is the world's largest unflooded, intact volcanic caldera, and witness the incredible concentration of wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you may spot lions, cheetahs, hippos, and various bird species. In the evening, we will make our way to a budget campsite/lodge near the crater for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - Materuni
Today, we will depart from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head towards Materuni, a beautiful village nestled at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a guided hike to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, where you can swim in the refreshing pools and take in the breathtaking scenery. Immerse yourself in the local Chagga culture and witness the coffee-making process. Overnight stay will be at a budget campsite/lodge in Materuni.
Day 7: Materuni - Arusha
After breakfast, we will return to Arusha. Spend the day at leisure, exploring the local markets, visiting cultural centers, or simply relaxing at your hotel. In the evening, you may opt to experience traditional Tanzanian cuisine at a local restaurant. Overnight stay will be at your hotel in Arusha.
Day 8: Arusha
Today is a free day in Arusha. You can choose to take part in optional activities such as a visit to Arusha National Park, a cultural tour, or simply relax and enjoy the amenities at your hotel. Overnight stay will be at your hotel in Arusha.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure. Bid farewell to Tanzania with memories of your incredible African Big 5 adventure.
