Uncover Uganda's Wildlife: 8-Day Expedition


Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Take some time to relax and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore Entebbe and visit attractions such as the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or the Botanical Gardens.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey will take you through beautiful landscapes and rural communities. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Witness the powerful rush of water as it squeezes through a narrow gorge. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the riverbanks, including hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species.

Day 3: Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the vast savannah plains in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and other wildlife. The park is also home to numerous bird species, so keep your binoculars handy. After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, visit the top of the falls for breathtaking views and great photo opportunities.

Day 4: Kibale National Park

Today, you will drive to Kibale National Park, known as the primate capital of East Africa. The journey will take you through beautiful tea plantations and picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This community-run project offers excellent opportunities to spot various primate species, including chimpanzees, as well as numerous bird species and other wildlife.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park

Prepare for an exciting day of chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest in search of these fascinating primates. Kibale National Park is home to the highest concentration of chimpanzees in Uganda, and with the help of experienced guides, you have a high chance of encountering them. Observe their behavior, listen to their calls, and learn about their conservation. After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda's most diverse and scenic parks. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the way and arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat safari offers excellent opportunities to spot hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and various bird species. Enjoy the sunset over the water before returning to your lodge.

Day 7: Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. The journey will take you through the stunning landscapes of the Ishasha sector, where you may have a chance to spot tree-climbing lions. Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi in the afternoon and take some time to relax and prepare for the next day's gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

Today is the highlight of your wildlife expedition – gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your trek. Accompanied by experienced trackers, venture into the thick jungle in search of a gorilla family. Once you find them, spend an unforgettable hour observing and admiring these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge and reflect on this incredible wildlife experience. This concludes your 8-day wildlife expedition in Uganda. Departure can be arranged either from Bwindi National Park or from Entebbe Airport, depending on your preference and travel plans.
