Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Upon arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, you will be met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the city and visit some of its cultural and historical sites. Overnight stay in Addis Ababa.
Day 2: Addis Ababa City Tour
Today, you will have a full day to explore Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. You will visit the National Museum, home to the famous fossil remains of Lucy, the Ethiopian National Palace, and the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which houses the remains of Emperor Haile Selassie. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Merkato, the largest open-air market in Africa. Overnight stay in Addis Ababa.
Day 3: Addis Ababa to Arba Minch
After breakfast, you will drive south to Arba Minch, passing through the Great Rift Valley and stopping at various viewpoints along the way. In the afternoon, you will visit the Dorze village, known for their unique weaving techniques and beehive-shaped huts. Overnight stay in Arba Minch.
Day 4: Arba Minch to Konso
After breakfast, you will drive to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its terraced hillsides and unique cultural traditions. You will visit the Konso Cultural Center and learn about their agricultural and social customs, as well as their intricate wooden statues and carvings. Overnight stay in Konso.
Day 5: Konso to Yirga Alem
Today, you will drive to Yirga Alem, a town in the heart of the coffee-growing region of Ethiopia. You will visit a local coffee plantation and learn about the process of growing and roasting coffee, as well as have the opportunity to taste some of the world-famous Ethiopian coffee. Overnight stay in Yirga Alem.
Day 6: Yirga Alem to Great Rift Valley
After breakfast, you will drive to the Great Rift Valley, known for its stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. You will visit the Abijatta-Shalla National Park, which is home to a variety of bird species, as well as hippos and crocodiles. You will also visit the Lake Langano, one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the region. Overnight stay in the Great Rift Valley.
Day 7: Great Rift Valley to Addis Ababa
Today, you will drive back to Addis Ababa, stopping at various viewpoints along the way. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to explore the city or do some last-minute souvenir shopping. Overnight stay in Addis Ababa.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to explore the city or do some last-minute shopping before your flight.
