Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Take some time to relax and settle in, enjoying the picturesque views of Lake Victoria.
Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will head to Lake Mburo National Park, located in the western part of Uganda. The journey will take approximately 4-5 hours, during which you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes and rural life of Uganda. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and have lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive through the park. Lake Mburo National Park is known for its diverse wildlife, including zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and various bird species. You may also spot some rare wildlife like the eland and topi. After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today is the highlight of your trip - gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest! After an early breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to almost half of the world's endangered mountain gorillas. The journey will take approximately 6-7 hours, but the stunning scenery will keep you captivated.
Upon arrival, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules and regulations. You will then be assigned a gorilla family to trek. With the guidance of experienced trackers, you will embark on a thrilling hike through the dense forest in search of these magnificent creatures. Once you find them, spend a magical hour observing and photographing them.
After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and dinner.
Day 4: Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, depart from Bwindi and head to Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "Switzerland of Africa" due to its stunning scenery. Enjoy a relaxing day at the lake, surrounded by beautiful terraced hills and dotted with numerous islands.
You can choose to go for a boat ride on the lake, visit local communities, or simply unwind and take in the serene atmosphere. Overnight stay and dinner at a lodge overlooking Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 5: Return to Entebbe
After breakfast, bid farewell to Lake Bunyonyi and start your journey back to Entebbe. The drive will take approximately 7-8 hours, with stops along the way for lunch and photography. Arrive in Entebbe in the evening and check-in at your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing evening and reflect on your wonderful experiences in Uganda.
Day 6: Entebbe City Tour
Today, explore the vibrant city of Entebbe. Visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, where you can see various animals up close and learn about their conservation. Take a stroll along the beautiful Entebbe Botanical Gardens, known for their diverse plant species and birdlife.
In the afternoon, visit the local markets to experience the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Uganda. Purchase some souvenirs and interact with friendly locals. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, our tour guide will transfer you to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight. Take with you unforgettable memories of Uganda's natural beauty and the incredible gorilla trekking experience.
