7-Day Lake Mburo, Queen & Gorilla Trek Safari


Day 1: Entebbe Airport to Lake Mburo National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by our friendly guide who will transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes approximately 4 hours, during which you will enjoy the scenic views of the countryside. Upon reaching the park, you will check into your lodge and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive, where you will have the opportunity to spot various wildlife species including zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. This will give you another chance to spot wildlife that you might have missed the previous day. The park is also home to over 300 bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you will have the opportunity to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Lake Mburo National Park and head towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes approximately 4 hours, and along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Upon reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into your lodge and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive in the park, where you will have the opportunity to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, and other wildlife species. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you will have a full day to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park. After breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive, where you will have the chance to spot more wildlife. The park is known for its large population of hippos and elephants, so keep your camera ready. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat safari will provide you with an opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and head towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, but the scenic views along the way will make it worthwhile. Upon reaching Bwindi, you will check into your lodge and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, you can take a guided nature walk around the lodge or visit the nearby local communities to learn about their culture and way of life. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the highlight of your safari - gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your trek. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you will be visiting. Once you find the gorillas, you will have a magical hour to observe and photograph them in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and overnight stay.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, you will start your journey back to Entebbe Airport. The drive takes approximately 8 hours, but you will have several stops along the way for lunch and to stretch your legs. Upon reaching Entebbe, our guide will drop you off at the airport, marking the end of your Lake Mburo, Queen, and Gorilla Trekking Safari.
