Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Take the rest of the day to relax and prepare for your exciting safari adventure.
Day 2: Entebbe - Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, we will depart for Lake Mburo National Park, located approximately 240 kilometers from Entebbe. The journey takes us through beautiful landscapes and rural communities. Arrive at the park in the afternoon and embark on a game drive to spot zebras, giraffes, elands, buffaloes, and other wildlife. In the evening, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species.
Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park
Start the day with a nature walk guided by a ranger, allowing you to explore the park's diverse flora and fauna up close. Lake Mburo National Park is known for its rich biodiversity, including acacia woodlands, savannah grasslands, and several lakes. In the afternoon, go for a horseback riding safari to observe wildlife from a different perspective. Alternatively, you can choose to take a bike ride around the park.
Day 4: Lake Mburo National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, we will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world's population of mountain gorillas. The journey takes us through the scenic Kigezi Highlands, also known as the "Switzerland of Africa." Arrive at Bwindi in the evening and settle into your accommodation.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today is the highlight of your safari as you embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and guidelines. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, venture into the forest to track down a gorilla family. Once you find them, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Afterward, return to your lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, we will depart for Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its population of chimpanzees and other primates. The journey takes us through picturesque landscapes and rural communities. Arrive at Kibale in the afternoon and enjoy a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can spot various bird species and primates.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest National Park - Departure
Today, you will have the opportunity to go chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest. Follow the sounds of chimpanzees and other primates as you trek through the lush greenery. Once you encounter them, spend a magical hour observing these intelligent creatures in their natural habitat. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch and depart for Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your gorillas, chimps, and wildlife safari in Uganda.
