Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Kigali. Take the rest of the day to relax and acclimate to the city.

Day 2: Exploring Kigali

Begin your day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn about Rwanda's tragic history and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide. Afterward, discover the vibrant local markets, art galleries, and craft shops in the city. In the afternoon, visit the Caplaki Craft Village to admire and purchase traditional Rwandan handicrafts.

Day 3: Nyungwe National Park

Today, you will travel to Nyungwe National Park, located in the southwestern part of Rwanda. Enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside, passing through tea plantations and small villages along the way. Upon arrival at the park, check-in to your lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Primate Trekking in Nyungwe National Park

Embark on an exciting primate trekking adventure in Nyungwe National Park. This park is home to thirteen different species of primates, including chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and golden monkeys. Follow experienced guides as you track and observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, take a nature walk through the lush forest, marveling at the diverse flora and fauna.

Day 5: Lake Kivu

Leave Nyungwe National Park and head to the beautiful Lake Kivu, one of Africa's Great Lakes. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake, taking in the stunning scenery and visiting local fishing villages. You can also go swimming or simply relax on the sandy beaches. In the evening, savor a lakeside dinner while enjoying the picturesque sunset.

Day 6: Volcanoes National Park

Today, you will journey to Volcanoes National Park, famous for its population of endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, check-in to your lodge and have a briefing about gorilla trekking etiquette. Spend the rest of the day exploring the nearby Musanze Caves or visiting the Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about traditional Rwandan customs and dance performances.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

The highlight of your trip awaits as you embark on a gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, hike through the dense forest until you encounter a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing these incredible creatures up close, witnessing their behavior and interactions. Afterward, return to your lodge and bid farewell to the magnificent primates of Rwanda.
