Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. You will have the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Mburo National Park, which is located in the western part of Uganda. The park is known for its diverse wildlife, including zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and various bird species. Upon arrival, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the park and its inhabitants. You will spend the night at a lodge near the park.
Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Lake Mburo National Park
Start your day with an early morning game drive to spot animals as they begin their day. Lake Mburo National Park offers a unique opportunity to see wildlife up close, as it is one of the few parks in Uganda where you can explore on foot. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and various water birds.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Today, we will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey will take you through beautiful landscapes and rural communities, providing a glimpse into the local way of life. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and have the rest of the day to relax and prepare for the gorilla trekking experience.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today is the highlight of your safari – gorilla trekking! After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the trekking rules and regulations. With an experienced guide, you will embark on a thrilling hike through the dense forest in search of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will spend a magical hour observing and photographing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will return to the lodge to rest and reflect on this incredible experience.
Day 6: Departure from Entebbe
After breakfast, we will drive back to Entebbe, where you will have some free time to explore the town or do some last-minute souvenir shopping. Our representative will transfer you to Entebbe Airport in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your 6-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari.
