Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your driver/guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you may have a chance to explore the town or relax at the hotel.
Day 2: Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park, which is located in western Uganda. Along the way, you will have a stopover at the Equator for a brief photo opportunity. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at your lodge and then go for an afternoon game drive or boat ride on Lake Mburo.
Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is known for its diverse wildlife and stunning scenery. Along the way, you will have a chance to see the Ankole long-horned cattle and the traditional Ugandan homesteads. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at your lodge and then go for an afternoon game drive.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, you will have a full day to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will go for a morning game drive, have lunch at the lodge, and then go for an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. You will have a chance to see elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. You will drive through the Ishasha sector of the park, which is known for its tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at your lodge and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today, you will go for the highlight of your trip - gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting the trek. The trek can take anywhere from 1-8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find the gorillas, you will have one hour to observe them before returning to the lodge. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive back to Entebbe for your departure flight. Along the way, you will have a chance to buy souvenirs or stop for lunch. Your driver/guide will drop you off at the airport in time for your flight.
