Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, you will be met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the city and visit some of its attractions such as the National Museum of Ethiopia, Ethnological Museum, and the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
Day 2: Addis Ababa - Arba Minch
After breakfast, you will drive south to Arba Minch, a scenic town located between two lakes. On the way, you will visit the Tiya UNESCO World Heritage site, which is known for its mysterious standing stones. You will also visit the Adadi Mariam rock-hewn church, which dates back to the 12th century. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Arba Minch and check-in at your hotel.
Day 3: Arba Minch - Jinka
After breakfast, you will visit the Nech Sar National Park, which is home to various wildlife species such as zebras, gazelles, and baboons. You will then drive to Jinka, a small town that serves as the gateway to the Omo Valley. On the way, you will visit the Konso village, which is known for its unique terraced farming system and cultural traditions. In the evening, you will arrive in Jinka and check-in at your hotel.
Day 4: Jinka - Mursi - Turmi
After breakfast, you will visit the Mursi tribe, one of the most famous tribes in the Omo Valley known for their lip plates. You will have the opportunity to learn about their culture and way of life. Afterward, you will drive to Turmi, where you will visit the Hamer tribe, known for their unique bull-jumping ceremony. You will also have the opportunity to visit a local market and interact with the locals. In the evening, you will check-in at your hotel in Turmi.
Day 5: Turmi - Omorate - Konso
After breakfast, you will drive to Omorate, a small town located on the banks of the Omo River. Here, you will visit the Dassanech tribe, known for their fishing skills and unique culture. You will then return to Konso, where you will visit another village and learn about their cultural traditions. In the evening, you will check-in at your hotel in Konso.
Day 6: Konso - Addis Ababa
After breakfast, you will drive back to Addis Ababa, where you will have the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs. In the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
