Day 1: Arrival in Dar Es Salaam
Upon your arrival in Dar Es Salaam, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to relax and settle in. In the evening, you can explore the vibrant city of Dar Es Salaam, known for its bustling markets, historic sites, and beautiful beaches.
Day 2: Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, we will depart for Mikumi National Park, located in the northern part of the Selous ecosystem. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Tanzanian countryside, passing small villages and lush landscapes. Upon arrival at the park, embark on a thrilling game drive to spot various wildlife species, including elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, and more. In the afternoon, we will head to our lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Kilombero Valley
Today, we will venture into the picturesque Kilombero Valley, known for its stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. Hop on a traditional canoe and navigate through the meandering channels of the Kilombero River, surrounded by lush vegetation and birdlife. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the valley while enjoying the scenic beauty. In the evening, we will return to our accommodation for dinner and rest.
Day 4: Udzungwa Mountains
After breakfast, we will head towards the Udzungwa Mountains, a biodiversity hotspot and home to a variety of endemic species. Upon arrival, embark on a guided hike through the lush rainforest, following well-marked trails. Discover the stunning waterfalls and enjoy panoramic views from the viewpoints along the way. Keep an eye out for rare primates such as the Udzungwa red colobus monkey and the Sanje Crested Mangabey. Later in the day, we will return to our lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure from Dar Es Salaam
Today marks the end of our adventure in the Kilombero Canoe, Mikumi National Park, and Udzungwa Mountains. After breakfast, we will drive back to Dar Es Salaam, where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey or to your selected hotel if you wish to extend your stay in this vibrant city.
