3-Day Uganda Gorilla Trek: Unforgettable Safari from Kigali
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari begins with your arrival in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Kigali. Take some time to relax and acclimatize to the new surroundings.
Day 2: Kigali to Bwindi National Park
After an early breakfast, you will depart from Kigali and embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Rwanda and Uganda, offering magnificent views along the way. Upon arrival at Bwindi National Park, check in to your lodge and enjoy some leisure time.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park and Lake Bunyonyi
Today is the highlight of your safari as you embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi National Park. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced guides. They will provide you with information about gorilla trekking etiquette and the dos and don'ts during the trek.
Once the briefing is complete, you will set off on your gorilla trekking adventure, traversing through the dense forest in search of the magnificent mountain gorillas. The trekking duration can vary from a few hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorilla family you are assigned to visit. Once you find the gorillas, you will have a magical hour to observe and photograph them in their natural habitat.
After the gorilla trekking, you will return to the lodge to freshen up and then depart for Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "Place of Many Little Birds." This scenic lake is the perfect place to relax and unwind after the exhilarating gorilla trekking experience. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake, visit the nearby islands, or simply soak in the tranquility of the surroundings.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, bid farewell to the beautiful landscapes of Uganda and embark on the journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have the opportunity to visit some of the city's attractions, such as the Genocide Memorial Centre, which provides a poignant insight into Rwanda's tragic history.
Finally, our representative will transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari.
