Day 1: Entebbe Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will brief you about your 3-day Murchison Falls National Park tour. After the briefing, you will embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, located in Northwestern Uganda. The journey will take approximately 5-6 hours, offering you a chance to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and rural life of Uganda.
Arriving at the park, you will check-in at your lodge and have some time to relax and freshen up. In the evening, you can take a leisurely walk around the lodge's surroundings, enjoying the sights and sounds of the park. Dinner will be served at the lodge, giving you an opportunity to taste some delicious Ugandan cuisine.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Safari
Wake up early in the morning to embark on an exciting game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. The park is home to a wide range of animals including elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, and various species of antelopes. Your experienced guide will drive you through the park, ensuring you have the best chances of spotting these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for a well-deserved breakfast. In the afternoon, head to the Nile River for a thrilling boat safari. This boat ride will take you close to the base of the Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating a spectacular display of waterfalls. Along the way, you will also have the opportunity to spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species that inhabit the riverbanks.
After the boat safari, return to the lodge and spend the evening at your leisure. You can relax at the lodge, take a refreshing swim, or enjoy a nature walk around the lodge's surroundings. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Return to Entebbe
On your last day in Murchison Falls National Park, you will have the opportunity to track chimpanzees in the Budongo Forest Reserve. After an early breakfast, you will drive to the forest reserve where you will be briefed by the park rangers about the chimpanzee tracking guidelines.
Embark on a thrilling trek through the forest, following the guidance of your experienced ranger. As you search for the chimpanzees, you will also have the chance to encounter other primate species and enjoy the rich biodiversity of the forest. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend a memorable hour observing their behavior and learning about their conservation.
After the chimpanzee tracking experience, return to your lodge for lunch and check-out. Bid farewell to Murchison Falls National Park as you embark on the journey back to Entebbe. The drive will take approximately 5-6 hours, allowing you to enjoy the scenic landscapes one last time before reaching Entebbe. You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport or your preferred location, marking the end of your 3-day Murchison Falls National Park tour.
