Unforgettable 3-Day Gorilla Trek: A Primal Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide who will brief you about your 3-day gorilla trekking safari. After the briefing, we will embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi National Park, located in southwestern Uganda. The journey will take approximately 8-9 hours, but the breathtaking views of the countryside and the occasional wildlife sightings along the way will make the drive enjoyable.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

Today is the highlight of your safari as you will have the opportunity to go gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. After an early breakfast, we will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. They will provide you with important information about the gorillas, their behavior, and the do's and don'ts during the trek. Once the briefing is done, we will start the trek through the thick forest in search of the gorilla family assigned to us. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. However, the experience of coming face to face with these magnificent creatures will make every step worthwhile. You will have an hour to observe and photograph the gorillas while they go about their daily activities. After the trek, we will return to our accommodation for some relaxation and to recount the incredible experience of encountering the mountain gorillas up close.

Day 3: Return to Entebbe

On the final day of our safari, we will have a leisurely breakfast before bidding farewell to the beautiful Bwindi National Park. We will embark on the journey back to Entebbe, enjoying the scenic views once again. Upon arrival in Entebbe, our guide will drop you off at the airport or your preferred destination, marking the end of your 3-day gorilla trekking safari. This itinerary offers an unforgettable experience, allowing you to witness the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Make sure to pack appropriate clothing and gear for the trek, including sturdy hiking boots, long pants, and a waterproof jacket. The gorilla trekking permits are limited, so it is advisable to book your safari well in advance to secure your spot.
