Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by our guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Take this day to relax and recover from your journey, as you prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.
Day 2: Exploring Kampala and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, we will embark on a city tour of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. This vibrant city offers a blend of modernity and traditional African culture. Visit landmarks such as the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, and the bustling markets.
In the afternoon, we will leave Kampala and start our journey to Bwindi National Park. The scenic drive will take us through beautiful landscapes and rural villages. Arrive at Bwindi National Park in the evening and check into your accommodation.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Experience
Today is the highlight of your trip - gorilla trekking! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track, and then set off into the dense forest with experienced trackers.
Trekking through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest can be challenging, but the reward of encountering these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable. Spend up to one hour observing and photographing the gorillas, while learning about their behavior and conservation efforts.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the cultural heritage of the Batwa Pygmies. The Batwa were the original inhabitants of the forest and have a deep connection with the gorillas. Engage in traditional dances, storytelling, and participate in their daily activities to gain insight into their ancient way of life.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi National Park and begin your journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy the scenic drive as you pass through rural Uganda, with opportunities to stop for photos and refreshments along the way. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon, where our guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
