Discover Namibia's Wonders: 14-Day Self Drive Safari


Day 1: Entebbe International Airport to Windhoek

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will board a flight to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. After reaching Windhoek, you will pick up your rental car and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city's vibrant culture and enjoying local cuisine.

Day 2: Windhoek to Kalahari Region

Start your self-drive adventure by heading south towards the Kalahari Region. This vast desert landscape is home to unique wildlife and stunning landscapes. Drive through the red sand dunes and keep an eye out for the famous Kalahari lions and meerkats. Spend the night at a lodge or campsite in the Kalahari.

Day 3-4: Sossusvlei

Continue your journey to Sossusvlei, a mesmerizing desert area known for its towering sand dunes. Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes and explore the iconic Deadvlei, a white clay pan dotted with ancient dead trees. Enjoy a thrilling 4x4 dune drive and take in the breathtaking views of the Namib Desert.

Day 5-6: Swakopmund

Drive west towards the coastal town of Swakopmund. This charming town offers a mix of German colonial architecture and adventure activities. Take a quad biking tour in the dunes, go sandboarding, or enjoy a boat trip to see seals and dolphins. Explore the town's shops, cafes, and restaurants, and don't miss trying some fresh seafood.

Day 7-8: Damaraland

Head north to Damaraland, a rugged and remote region known for its ancient rock art and desert-adapted wildlife. Visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see the ancient rock engravings. Take a guided tour to track desert-adapted elephants and visit the Petrified Forest. Spend the nights at a lodge or campsite in Damaraland.

Day 9: Palmwag

Continue your journey to Palmwag, a wilderness area located in the Kunene Region. This area is known for its diverse wildlife, including desert-adapted rhinos, giraffes, and lions. Take a game drive or a guided walking safari to spot these incredible animals in their natural habitat. Spend the night at a lodge or campsite in Palmwag.

Day 10-12: Etosha National Park

Drive east to Etosha National Park, one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations. Spend the next three days exploring the park's vast salt pans and waterholes, where you can spot a wide variety of animals, including elephants, lions, zebras, and giraffes. Enjoy game drives during the day and night, and stay at lodges or campsites within the park.

Day 13: Windhoek

Leave Etosha National Park and drive back to Windhoek. Take this day to relax and explore any sights you may have missed during your first visit to the capital city. Visit local markets, museums, and enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the city's many restaurants.

Day 14: Departure

After breakfast, return your rental car at the airport and catch your flight back home, filled with amazing memories of your self-drive safari through the wonders of Namibia.
