Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the immigration process and transfer you to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Exploring Addis Ababa

After breakfast, you will fly to Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. Here, you will visit the National Museum, where you can see the famous fossilized remains of Lucy, a hominid that lived over 3 million years ago. You will also explore the Ethnological Museum, Holy Trinity Cathedral, and the bustling Mercato, one of Africa's largest open-air markets. Overnight stay in Addis Ababa.

Day 3: Transfer to Jimma

Today, you will drive to Jimma, a vibrant town known for its coffee production. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Ethiopian countryside and visit coffee plantations. In Jimma, you can explore the local markets, taste traditional Ethiopian coffee, and learn about the region's rich history. Overnight stay in Jimma.

Day 4: Journey to Mizan

After breakfast, you will continue your journey to Mizan, a town located in the Keffa Zone. Mizan is known for its lush green landscapes and tea plantations. Upon arrival, you can take a leisurely walk through the tea gardens, interact with the local communities, and learn about the tea production process. Overnight stay in Mizan.

Day 5: Drive to Kibish

Today, you will embark on a long drive to Kibish, a small town situated near the Sudanese border. Kibish is the gateway to the remote and fascinating Omo Valley region. Along the way, you will pass through picturesque landscapes, river valleys, and traditional villages. Overnight stay in Kibish.

Day 6-9: Omo River Rafting

Over the next four days, you will embark on an exhilarating Omo River rafting adventure. You will navigate through rapids and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Omo River Gorge. Along the way, you will have opportunities to spot wildlife, such as hippos and crocodiles, and interact with the local tribes who live along the riverbanks. Camping will be arranged each night.

Day 10: Explore Omo National Park

After completing the rafting expedition, you will visit the Omo National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes. Here, you can enjoy game drives to spot elephants, zebras, buffalos, and various bird species. You will also have the chance to visit the villages of the Mursi and Surma tribes, known for their distinctive body decorations and cultural practices. Overnight stay in the park.

Day 11-12: Discovering the Omo Valley Tribes

For the next two days, you will immerse yourself in the unique cultures and traditions of the tribes in the Omo Valley. You will visit villages of the Hamar, Karo, Dassanech, and Arbore tribes, among others. You can witness their traditional ceremonies, observe their artwork, and learn about their way of life. Overnight stays in local accommodations or campsites.

Day 13: Return to Addis Ababa

After breakfast, you will drive back to Addis Ababa, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the city, shopping for souvenirs, or simply relaxing. Overnight stay in Addis Ababa.

Day 14: Departure from Entebbe International Airport

Today, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. As you bid farewell to Ethiopia, you can cherish the memories of the Omo River rafting adventure and the cultural encounters in the South Omo Valley tribes.
