12-Day Remarkable Uganda Expedition
Welcome to Uganda! Your 12-day expedition begins in Entebbe, where you will be greeted by our friendly guide and transferred to your accommodation. Take some time to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 1: Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Mburo National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive to spot zebras, impalas, giraffes, and more. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park
Start the day with a nature walk guided by a park ranger. Explore the park on foot and encounter various animals, including buffalos, antelopes, and monkeys. In the afternoon, visit a local community and learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy traditional dances and crafts before returning to your lodge.
Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today, we will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey takes us through scenic landscapes and local villages. Upon arrival, settle in and prepare for tomorrow's gorilla tracking adventure.
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking
Get ready for an unforgettable experience as you track the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Accompanied by experienced trackers and guides, hike through the dense forest, following the gorillas' trails. Once you find them, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants up close. Afterward, return to your lodge and reflect on this incredible encounter.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon, where you may spot elephants, lions, buffalos, and various antelope species.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start the day with a thrilling morning game drive, exploring the park's different ecosystems. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a haven for hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Enjoy the scenic views and capture memorable photographs.
Day 7: Kibale Forest National Park
Today, we will drive to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its population of chimpanzees and other primates. Upon arrival, relax at your lodge and prepare for tomorrow's chimpanzee trekking adventure.
Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking
Embark on an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest. Hike through the forest trails, guided by experienced rangers, and witness the playful antics of these intelligent creatures. Learn about their behaviors and conservation efforts to protect them. Afterward, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to a variety of bird species and other wildlife.
Day 9: Murchison Falls National Park
Today, we will drive to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, where you can spot elephants, giraffes, lions, and more. In the evening, take a relaxing boat cruise along the Nile River and witness the breathtaking Murchison Falls.
Day 10: Murchison Falls National Park
Start the day with a game drive in search of the park's wildlife, including buffalo herds, elephants, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, embark on a hike to the top of the falls, where you can marvel at the powerful cascades and panoramic views of the park.
Day 11: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, we will drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a conservation project aimed at protecting the endangered rhinoceros. Enjoy a guided walk to track the rhinos and learn about their conservation efforts. In the afternoon, relax at your lodge and reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters throughout your journey.
Day 12: Return to Entebbe
It's time to say goodbye to the remarkable wilderness of Uganda. After breakfast, we will drive back to Entebbe, where you can catch your onward flight or extend your stay to explore more of this beautiful country.
