Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have time to explore the city on your own.
Day 2: Addis Ababa – Debre Libanos – Awash National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Debre Libanos Monastery, an important pilgrimage site for Ethiopian Orthodox Christians. Afterwards, you will continue to Awash National Park, where you will have the opportunity to spot a variety of mammals, including the rare Swayne’s hartebeest, as well as baboons, warthogs, and gazelles.
Day 3: Awash National Park
You will spend the day exploring Awash National Park, which is home to over 400 species of birds and a variety of mammals, including the endangered African wild dog, as well as oryx, kudu, and dik-dik.
Day 4: Awash National Park – Aledeghi Wildlife Reserve
After breakfast, you will drive to Aledeghi Wildlife Reserve, which is known for its populations of the endangered Ethiopian wolf and the rare Mountain nyala. You will spend the afternoon exploring the reserve and looking for these rare mammals.
Day 5: Aledeghi Wildlife Reserve

Day 6: Aledeghi Wildlife Reserve – Bale Mountains National Park

Day 7: Bale Mountains National Park
