Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar
Begin your 11-day Tanzanian Safari with Zanzibar Extension by arriving in the beautiful island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the stunning beaches or relaxing by the pool.
Day 2: Zanzibar to Arusha
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Zanzibar and take a short flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your lodge. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, acclimatizing to the beautiful surroundings.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park
On this day, you will embark on a thrilling safari adventure to Tarangire National Park. After breakfast, drive to the park where you will spend the day exploring its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. Look out for elephants, lions, zebras, and many other fascinating animals. In the evening, return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos, this park offers a unique safari experience. Explore the park's diverse ecosystems, including the lush groundwater forest and the alkaline Lake Manyara. After an exciting day of game drives, head back to your lodge for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 5-6: Serengeti National Park
Get ready to explore the world-famous Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, drive to the park, enjoying the stunning landscapes along the way. Spend the next two days exploring the vast plains and witnessing the annual wildebeest migration (seasonal). Keep your eyes open for the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos) as well as cheetahs, zebras, and giraffes. Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
Today, you will visit the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, descend into the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most remarkable natural wonders in Africa. Explore the diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife within the crater, including lions, hippos, and flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this unique setting before ascending back to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 8: Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, you will head to Lake Eyasi, a remote and beautiful destination known for its cultural experiences. Interact with the local Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, learning about their traditional hunting and gathering techniques and their way of life. Enjoy a unique cultural exchange and gain insights into their ancient traditions. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 9-10: Zanzibar Extension
After an adventurous safari experience, it's time to relax and unwind in the tropical paradise of Zanzibar. Fly back from Arusha to Zanzibar and check-in at your beachfront hotel. Spend the next two days enjoying the pristine white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant coral reefs. Take part in water sports activities, explore the historic Stone Town, or simply indulge in relaxation and rejuvenation. Your time in Zanzibar is yours to customize and make the most of this idyllic beach destination.
Day 11: Departure
