Kilimanjaro Trekking & Safari: 11-Day Marangu Route

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our guide will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Moshi. Take some time to relax and adjust to the local surroundings.

Day 2: Moshi

Explore the charming town of Moshi, known for its vibrant markets and friendly locals. Visit the local cultural center to learn about traditional Tanzanian customs and enjoy a traditional meal.

Day 3: Marangu

Embark on a scenic drive to the village of Marangu, the starting point of your Kilimanjaro trek. Meet your trekking team, receive a briefing, and begin your hike through lush rainforests to Mandara Hut.

Day 4: Mt Kilimanjaro

Continue your ascent through the alpine meadows and moorlands. Reach the Horombo Hut, where you will spend the night. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro.

Day 5: Mt Kilimanjaro

Climb higher to the Kibo Hut, situated at the base of the Kibo Crater. Rest and acclimatize before your final push to the summit. Prepare your equipment and get a good night's sleep.

Day 6: Mt Kilimanjaro Summit

Start your summit attempt in the early hours of the morning. Trek through the freezing temperatures and challenging terrain to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved rest.

Day 7: Moshi

Descend further to Marangu Gate, where you will be transferred back to Moshi. Relax and celebrate your successful Kilimanjaro summit with a delicious dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Tarangire National Park

Embark on a thrilling safari adventure as you make your way to Tarangire National Park. Explore the diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes, including large herds of elephants and baobab trees.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park

Travel to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, home to the Great Migration and an abundance of wildlife. Enjoy game drives and witness the incredible spectacle of thousands of wildebeest and zebras on their annual migration.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater

Visit the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa. Descend into the crater for a unique safari experience, spotting a wide range of animals including lions, rhinos, and hippos.

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast, bid farewell to Tanzania as you are transferred back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.
