10-Day Self Drive Itinerary - Mongoose

Welcome to Namibia! This 10-day self-drive adventure will take you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country. Starting from the Hosea Kutako Airport in Windhoek, you will explore the iconic destinations of Etosha National Park, Swakopmund, Sossusvlei, Fish River Canyon, and the Kalahari Region. Get ready for an unforgettable journey filled with wildlife encounters, stunning natural wonders, and cultural experiences.

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Upon your arrival at Hosea Kutako Airport, pick up your rental car and drive to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Check into your accommodation and take some time to explore the city's vibrant markets, colonial architecture, and local cuisine. Windhoek offers a blend of African and European influences, making it a unique and interesting place to start your journey.

Day 2-3: Etosha National Park

Head north towards Etosha National Park, one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations. Spend two days exploring this vast park, known for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and rhinos. Enjoy game drives and be sure to visit the watering holes, where you can witness incredible animal interactions. Stay overnight at one of the park's lodges or campsites for an unforgettable wilderness experience.

Day 4-5: Swakopmund

Drive west towards the coastal town of Swakopmund, known for its German colonial architecture and thrilling outdoor activities. Day 6-7: Sossusvlei

Day 8-9: Fish River Canyon

Drive towards the southern border of Namibia to reach the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world.
