Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Upon your arrival at Bole International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Addis Ababa. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the city or relaxing at your hotel.
Day 2: Addis Ababa City Tour
After breakfast, you will start your city tour of Addis Ababa. You will visit the National Museum, where you can see the famous Lucy skeleton, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Holy Trinity Cathedral. You will also visit the Merkato, the largest open-air market in Africa, and the Entoto Mountains, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city.
Day 3: Addis Ababa – Arba Minch
After breakfast, you will drive to Arba Minch, which is located in the southern part of Ethiopia. On the way, you will stop at Lake Ziway to see the birdlife and visit the Dorze village, where you can see the traditional weaving techniques and the unique beehive-shaped houses.
Day 4: Arba Minch – Turmi
After breakfast, you will drive to Turmi, which is the heart of the Hamer people. On the way, you will stop at Konso village, where you can see the terraced fields and the traditional Konso houses. You will also visit the Karo village, where you can see the body painting and scarification of the Karo people.
Day 5: Turmi – Omorate – Turmi
After breakfast, you will drive to Omorate, which is located on the bank of the Omo River. You will cross the river in a dugout canoe and visit the Dasenech village, where you can see the fishing and farming activities of the Dasenech people. You will return to Turmi in the afternoon.
Day 6: Turmi – Jinka
After breakfast, you will drive to Jinka, which is the capital of the South Omo Zone. On the way, you will stop at the Ari village, where you can see the traditional agriculture practices and the unique hairstyle of the Ari women.
Day 7: Jinka – Mago – Jinka
After breakfast, you will drive to Mago National Park, which is home to the Mursi people. You will visit a Mursi village and see the lip plates and scarification of the Mursi women. You will return to Jinka in the afternoon.
Day 8: Jinka – Konso
After breakfast, you will drive to Konso, which is located in the Rift Valley. On the way, you will stop at the Bena and Tsemay villages, where you can see the traditional dancing and singing of the Bena and Tsemay people.
Day 9: Konso – Harar
After breakfast, you will drive to Harar, which is located in the eastern part of Ethiopia. On the way, you will stop at the Awash National Park, where you can see the wildlife and the Awash Falls. You will arrive in Harar in the afternoon.
Day 10: Harar City Tour – Departure
After breakfast, you will start your city tour of Harar. You will visit the Harar Jugol, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Harari Museum, where you can learn about the history and culture of the Harari people. You will also visit the hyena feeding site, where you can see the hyenas being fed by the local people. In the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
